
Architect Matteo Thun is one of the Italian designer-masters. In his career he has worked with, among others, Ettore Sottsass, and he was one of the founding members of the famous Italian design group Memphis in the 1980s. Since setting up his studio in 1984, Thun has designed everything from taps to hotels, and his work has always focused on aesthetic, economic and technological sustainability. For VitrA his studio has authored the Water Jewels collection – a highly decorative yet practical sink that is produced in materials ranging from glazed terracotta to marble and wood.
